TL;DR

GCP Cloud Engineer (GCP): Designing, implementing, and maintaining secure cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform with an accent on infrastructure automation and cloud security. Focus on developing IaC with Terraform, managing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring compliance with FedRAMP and NIST standards.

Location: In-Person (5 days/week) in Washington, DC. U.S. citizenship is required

What you will do

• Design, implement, and manage secure and scalable cloud infrastructure using GCP.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using Terraform or Deployment Manager.
• Support and manage CI/CD pipeline automation and integration.
• Collaborate with software engineers and government stakeholders to optimize deployment workflows.
• Monitor system performance and ensure cloud services meet SLAs.
• Implement cloud best practices to ensure compliance with federal security standards such as FedRAMP and NIST.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required; must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret-level security clearance.
• 4+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with at least 2 years focused on GCP.
• Hands-on experience with GCP services including Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, VPC, IAM, GKE, and BigQuery.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Cloud Build.
• Solid understanding of Linux systems, networking, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Nice to have

• GCP Professional Cloud Architect or DevOps Engineer certification.
• Experience supporting federal government contracts and understanding of ATO processes.
• Familiarity with other cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go.
