TL;DR
Product Development Engineer (Semiconductor): Leading the end-to-end development of power MOSFET products from concept through to industrialization with an accent on device physics, process interactions, and failure mechanisms. Focus on designing products using Cadence/Klayout, performing data analysis during qualification stages, and communicating technical insights to cross-functional stakeholders.
Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Stockport, UK (Hybrid role). No visa sponsorship available.

What you will do
- Manage product development cycles from initial concept to prototype, validation, and industrialization.
- Design semiconductor products using industry-standard tools like Cadence or Klayout.
- Analyze data from wafer testing, assembly, and qualification stages to ensure product performance.
- Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain groups to align on specifications and strategy.
- Communicate complex technical information clearly to senior management and cross-functional teams.
- Engage with external customers and global vendors to support product requirements.
Requirements
- Degree in Electronics Engineering, Semiconductor Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Background in power semiconductor devices, specifically Power MOSFETs.
- Understanding of device physics, process interactions, and failure mechanisms.
- Must have the right to work in the UK as no visa sponsorship is provided.
- Excellent communication skills for technical and stakeholder reporting.
- Ability to work on-site in Stockport on a hybrid basis.
Nice to have
- Project management experience across development streams.
- Proficiency with design tools such as Cadence or Klayout.
- Experience with statistical analysis tools like Minitab, Statistica, or SPSS.
- Hands-on experience with root cause analysis (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone diagrams).
