Focus on managing integrated library systems, ensuring data accuracy, and delivering high-quality customer service to academic and military personnel.

Location: Must be based in Washington, DC (On-site, 5 days/week)

What you will do

• Manage circulation activities and assist patrons at the information desk.
• Perform original and copy cataloging using integrated library systems.
• Maintain electronic resources and library-supported websites.
• Support interlibrary loan operations and collection development projects.
• Assist with deaccessioning and technical services tasks.
• Stay updated on information science trends and technology.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship required due to federal contract requirements.
• Bachelor's degree and currently pursuing a Master of Library Science from an ALA-accredited program.
• Three years of experience in a public, academic, or special library setting.
• Proficiency with Integrated Library Systems (ILS) and cataloging standards.
• Strong attention to detail and customer service orientation.
• Must be able to work on-site 5 days/week in Washington, DC.

Nice to have

• Master of Library Science degree.
• Experience with SirsiDynix Symphony ILS.
• Knowledge of MARC, LC Subject Headings, and AACR2.
• Experience with OCLC system and Springshare Suite.
