What you will do

  • Take residential mortgage loan applications and communicate underwriting decisions, including offers and counteroffers.
  • Increase mortgage loan volume by selling TD mortgage products and programs, with focus on CRA, LMI, and multicultural borrowers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with nonprofit organizations, realtors, and state/local housing agencies to generate CRA mortgage opportunities.
  • Guide customers through the mortgage application process, ensuring required disclosures and documentation are completed accurately and on time.
  • Coordinate with customers, underwriters, processors, realtors, and closing agents to keep the process on schedule; attend closings as needed.
  • Enter loan information into the mortgage loan system and prepare supporting files for underwriting and regulatory purposes.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of related experience.
  • Active NMLS registration status (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry).
  • Eligibility for registration as a registered mortgage loan originator under the SAFE Act and related regulations.
  • Ability to originate residential mortgage loans in accordance with applicable legal and regulatory guidelines.
  • Demonstrated sales ability and ability to plan activities to achieve sales goals.
  • In-depth knowledge of mortgage industry products, lending practices, and regulatory guidelines.
