BSc Intern Position - In-Cabin Sensing for Automotive Applications (UWB/Signal Processing)

hirify.global develops semiconductor-based technologies and system applications for automotive and other technology use cases; this project is part of Systems Innovation Automotive within the Central Technology Organization.

What you will do

• Become familiar with in-cabin sensing applications, technologies, and relevant automotive use cases.
• Identify key use cases aligned with NXP’s strategic interests.
• Research and benchmark current solutions through literature review and comparative analysis.
• Design and implement signal processing algorithms to extract features and improve the performance of selected sensing technologies.
• Collect real-world data in a vehicle cabin and evaluate algorithm performance using validated models.
• Develop recommendations for future development or integration into NXP’s product roadmap.

Requirements

• BSc in Electronics, Embedded Systems, or a similar field.
• Embedded software and hardware knowledge.
• Hands-on experience with board assembly, electronic design, and related tasks.
• Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, document work clearly, and collaborate as part of a team.
• Proactive and motivated approach.
• Good level of English for meetings, presentations, and reading and writing documentation with an international team.
• The assignment will be adapted to the level of expertise and school requirements for an internship period or graduation project.

Nice to have

• Power electronics knowledge.
• Experience in university student engineering teams.
