What you will do

• Build and maintain reliable, scalable backend services supporting generative AI features.
• Design and implement APIs, service integrations, and internal abstractions for AI capabilities.
• Integrate backend systems with global and local AI services and model providers.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver high-quality AI experiences.
• Ensure backend systems comply with privacy and security standards across markets.
• Investigate bugs, improve performance, and address technical debt.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Java and solid understanding of backend fundamentals like microservices and REST APIs.
• Experience building and maintaining scalable backend services in production.
• Fluent in English and comfortable working in a global context.
• Collaborative mindset with experience working in cross-functional teams.
• Must be based in Beijing, China.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS or GCP.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
