What you will do

• Build highly available, secure distributed systems using microservice architecture.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain systems representing logistics entities (shipper, client, cargo, documents, carriers, containers, email, etc.).
• Collaborate with experienced engineers to solve complex business and technical problems.
• Ship products rapidly and incrementally (multiple production deployments per day).
• Maintain quality by anticipating issues using metrics and applying learnings from post-mortems.
• Work on forwarding systems with influence on subsystem design and team engineering practices.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience writing software with a strong engineering background.
• Knowledge of at least one programming language: Ruby, C, C++, Java, or Kotlin.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong aptitude for learning quickly.

Nice to have

• Preference for simple, well-tested code that is easy to extend and hard to break.
• Bias for action and proactive problem solving.
• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices across the full development lifecycle (coding standards, code reviews, source control, continuous deployments, testing, and operations).
