Principal Engineer (Fintech)

TL;DR

Principal Engineer (Python/AWS): Designing and delivering financial systems roadmaps for Custom Separately Managed Accounts with an accent on large-scale distributed systems and microservices. Focus on bridging business needs with technical deliverables, implementing DevOps principles, and ensuring high-quality delivery through TDD and automation.

Location: Hybrid (Atlanta, Georgia). Must spend at least four full days each week working in an hirify.global office.

What you will do

• Lead technical architects and developers in the delivery of Finance Systems roadmaps.
• Design and implement large-scale distributed systems, microservices, and web applications using AWS.
• Create and review detailed solution designs aligned with business outcomes and design principles.
• Promote engineering excellence through DevOps, Agile delivery, and Test Driven Development (TDD).
• Conduct quality assurance testing and develop automated test scripts for regression testing.
• Collaborate with senior business and technology partners to translate complex needs into technical deliverables.

Requirements

• 8-10 years of experience in application development and enterprise solutions engineering.
• Advanced proficiency in Python, Git, and Bitbucket Pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with AWS (Lambda, S3, EKS, SQS) and containerization tools like Docker, Kubernetes, or Helm.
• Experience with scheduler technologies such as Airflow or Autosys.
• Knowledge of third-party libraries, APIs, and ESB/EDI technologies (e.g., MuleSoft).
• Must be based in or able to work from the Atlanta, Georgia office according to the hybrid model.
