Senior Software Engineer, AI Authoring

Location: Mountain View, California, USA

Base salary range: $165,600–$273,400 annually, depending on work location and compensation zone.

What you will do

• Partner with product, design, and engineering teams to influence the roadmap and technical strategy for hirify.global AI and backend platforms.
• Design and implement scalable infrastructure for AI authoring products, asset generation, LLM inference, and AI-driven hirify.global Editor tools.
• Improve backend reliability, performance, observability, security, and cost efficiency while investigating regressions and network latency.
• Run technical infrastructure spikes on Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform.
• Build development-to-production delivery processes using infrastructure-as-code, Terraform Cloud, Helm, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
• Establish cross-team standards for deployments, releases, client-server compatibility, A/B testing, monitoring, and disaster recovery.

Requirements

• Experience building and shipping complex, user-facing software products at scale.
• Experience delivering and supporting cloud backend services with Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, and CI/CD pipelines such as Argo or GitHub Actions.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with observability, including monitoring, logging, alerting, and debugging tools such as Grafana.
• Strong understanding of software delivery best practices and network security.
• Professional English proficiency is required for frequent written and verbal communication with colleagues and partners worldwide.

Nice to have

• Experience building AI evaluation infrastructure, benchmark harnesses, LLM-as-judge pipelines, or systems for measuring model quality at scale.
• Experience with agentic system economics, including inference and token costs, model routing, context and memory management, checkpointing, and state recovery.
• Background in games, live-service operations, or player analytics.
