TL;DR

Process Engineer (Diffusion): Sustaining daily production and driving long-term improvement projects in a semiconductor fab with an accent on yield, capability, and process performance. Focus on delivering technical improvements, supporting new product development, and ensuring compliance with quality standards in a high-pressure manufacturing environment.

Location: Must be based in or able to work onsite in Manchester, UK

Salary: £54,000–£66,000 (inclusive of shift allowances)

What you will do

  • Sustain and improve mechanical and electrical yields to meet departmental targets.
  • Monitor and improve Cpk levels across processes, including coordinating R&R studies on metrology equipment.
  • Deliver technical improvement projects focused on cost, throughput, and ease of manufacture.
  • Support new product and platform development through process development activities.
  • Generate and maintain accurate Wafer Fab Operator Instructions.
  • Ensure full adherence to departmental procedures and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Semiconductor industry experience as a Process Engineer is required.
  • HND or Degree in a relevant STEM discipline.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively across teams.
  • Ability to work a rotating shift pattern of 12-hour shifts (2 weeks of days and 1 week of nights).
  • Competent with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

  • Experience in Diffusion Engineering Processes.
