TL;DR

Network Engineer (Operations Reliability): Maintaining the reliability, stability, and performance of enterprise network services with an accent on LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, and cloud connectivity. Focus on incident management, improving monitoring accuracy, and contributing to AI-readiness and automated remediation workflows.

Location: Must be based in the United Kingdom. The role requires working daytime local hours (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM CET) to align with US team coverage (3:00 AM – 12:00 PM EST) and participation in a rotational on-call schedule.

What you will do

  • Resolve network and infrastructure incidents through hands-on troubleshooting across LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and VPN environments.
  • Monitor observability and AIOps platforms to identify performance anomalies and reduce alert noise.
  • Validate automated remediation workflows and document repeated manual tasks to support engineering initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Cloud, IAM, and Messaging to ensure service stability.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot Cisco Catalyst 9000 platforms and Zscaler security configurations.
  • Participate in post-incident reviews and provide operational insights to improve detection accuracy.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in network operations or network engineering.
  • Strong understanding of routing, switching, wireless, VPN, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco IOS-XE and network monitoring tools like Cisco Catalyst Center or SolarWinds.
  • Knowledge of zero trust concepts and Zscaler policy validation.
  • Ability to interpret network telemetry and logs for root cause analysis.
  • Must be based in the United Kingdom and available for the specified shift and on-call rotation.

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting Cisco SD-WAN.
  • Familiarity with scripting or automation concepts.
  • Interest in predictive alerting and modern observability practices.
