What you will do

• Review and provide technical advice on retail open market wordings, binding authorities, and broker products.
• Ensure all policy wordings comply with legal and regulatory requirements, including FCA and Consumer Duty standards.
• Collaborate with underwriters and senior stakeholders to deliver timely wording support across distribution channels.
• Maintain the central wording repository and manage records related to product documentation.
• Develop advice on emerging market, regulatory, or legal trends impacting product wordings.
• Conduct post-bind thematic reviews of product lines to ensure quality and consistency.

Requirements

• Must be based in the UK
• Deep knowledge of retail insurance business, markets, and terminology.
• Extensive experience with FCA requirements, FOS outcomes, IPIDs, and Consumer Duty.
• Proven experience in legal contract or insurance policy drafting.
• Strong interpersonal skills with experience collaborating with senior management and boards.
• Project management capability and strong organizational skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Acturis or Websure systems.
