TL;DR

Senior Fullstack Software Development Engineer (PHP/React): Building and evolving customer-facing product experiences and scalable services for the Follow Up Boss platform with an accent on API design, distributed systems, and end-to-end project delivery. Focus on mentoring junior engineers, maintaining high engineering standards, and ensuring system reliability through automated testing and robust monitoring.

Location: Must be based in Mexico, with occasional travel to Mexico City for office events.

What you will do

Lead the design, delivery, and ongoing support of end-to-end projects and features.
Build and evolve customer-facing product experiences across client and service layers.
Develop and maintain scalable PHP services and integrate APIs across frontend and backend systems.
Review code, contribute to engineering standards, and facilitate technical discussions.
Mentor junior engineers within a cross-functional team environment.

Requirements

5+ years of software development experience building customer-facing web applications.
Strong proficiency in ES6, React, TypeScript, GraphQL, and PHP.
Solid understanding of full-stack engineering, including API design and frontend-backend integration.
Experience with event-driven architectures, distributed systems, and production operations.
Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
Must be authorized to work in Mexico.

Nice to have

Experience with Kafka.
Background in CI/CD and automated testing practices.
