What you will do

• Lead the backend engineering team in designing and delivering core modeling and API infrastructure.
• Own the architecture of metadata models, including data assets, lineage, and governance concepts.
• Define technical direction for API versioning, extensibility, and enterprise-grade integrations.
• Collaborate with product leadership to translate platform requirements into scalable solutions.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance, fostering practices like TDD, CI/CD, and clean architecture.
• Represent the domain in cross-team architectural forums to influence platform evolution.

Requirements

• 12+ years of backend engineering experience, including 2+ years in a Tech Lead or leadership role.
• Proven experience designing API-first platforms and core backend infrastructure.
• Strong programming expertise in C# (.NET) and Java.
• Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, distributed services, and scalable architectures.
• Deep understanding of data modeling, metadata systems, or domain-driven design.
• Must be eligible to work in Hungary without immigration sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with data lineage or data intelligence platforms.
• Background in graph databases and modeling complex relationships.
• Knowledge of search systems like ElasticSearch or Solr.
• Familiarity with OpenAPI standards and API gateways.
