What you will do

• Lead the brand-new Data Replay & Recovery Team to build a self-service application from the ground up.
• Design and maintain a data platform processing petabytes of data for analytics and threat hunting.
• Collaborate with Data Platform, ML Platform, and DevOps teams to enhance platform resilience and business continuity.
• Conduct technical reviews to develop new features and improve service efficiency.
• Research and implement efficient data querying methods for internal stakeholders and customers.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in London, UK
• 3+ years of management experience leading engineering teams in big data environments.
• 7+ years of combined experience in backend/cloud development and data platform engineering.
• Proficiency in Java/Scala and scripting languages like Python.
• Strong experience with the Apache Hadoop ecosystem (Spark, Kafka, Flink, Iceberg, Delta Lake, Hive, Presto/Trino).
• Experience with relational (Postgres, MySQL) and NoSQL (Cassandra, DynamoDB) databases.
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and TDD discipline.

Nice to have

• Experience with Go.
• Proficiency with Jenkins, Parquet, and Protocol Buffers/gRPC.
