Salary: $150,000 – $230,000 base pay

What you will do
- Lead SI/PI efforts for high-speed optical transceiver modules and high-density optical interconnect platforms.
- Design and simulate high-speed channels up to 448G per lane (PAM4) across PCBs, packages, and connectors.
- Perform pre- and post-layout simulations using tools like Ansys HFSS, Keysight ADS, Cadence Sigrity, and SiSoft QSI.
- Develop and validate PCB stackups, via structures, and connector transitions meeting IEEE, CEI, and MSA standards.
- Optimize PDNs to meet target impedance and minimize noise coupling for high-speed DSPs and ICs.
- Collaborate with validation teams to correlate measurements (TDR, VNA, eye diagram, BER) with simulation models.
Requirements
- B.S. or higher in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related discipline.
- 7+ years of experience in SI/PI engineering for high-speed interconnects in optical or networking hardware.
- Proven experience with 112G, 224G, and 448G PAM4 signaling.
- Expertise in SI simulation tools such as Ansys HFSS, Keysight ADS, or Sigrity.
- Experience with power delivery design, including decoupling strategies and PDN impedance analysis.
- Must be based in or authorized to work in the USA
Nice to have
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on high-speed or mixed-signal systems.
- Experience with co-packaged optics, chiplet-based architectures, or advanced substrate technologies.
- Familiarity with EMI/EMC considerations and signal/power isolation.
- Understanding of thermal and mechanical effects on SI/PI performance.
