Businesss Modernization - Project Manager - MES Operations (ERP)

Location: Onsite – Buffalo, NY

Salary: $75,000.00–$140,000.00 annually

What you will do

• Develop and manage detailed project plans aligned to the modernization program schedule, milestones, and governance model.
• Lead ERP modernization projects/workstreams through Prepare, Explore, Realize, Deploy, and Hypercare phases.
• Manage day-to-day execution: task tracking, milestone achievement, issue resolution, and RAID log management.
• Own scope, risk, and dependency management; escalate risks with mitigation recommendations and coordinate cross-workstream dependencies.
• Coordinate business, IT, system integrators, and third-party resources; partner with solution architecture, functional leads, and OCM to align delivery and adoption.
• Support testing cycles, cutover planning, go-live readiness, knowledge transfer, and transition to sustainment/operations teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of project management experience delivering implementations or major modernization initiatives; ERP implementation experience preferred.
• Proven experience managing ERP projects/workstreams across multiple delivery phases and lifecycles (e.g., SAP Activate or equivalent).
• Strong ability to manage schedules, scope, risks, issues, and dependencies in complex environments.
• Experience working with system integrators and coordinating internal/external delivery teams.
• Proficiency with project management and reporting tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira) and strong communication with business and technical stakeholders.
