What you will do

• Track Linux Kernel developments and integrate relevant features into Arista products.
• Develop and maintain EOS kernel features using C, C++, and Python.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to qualify new CPUs and NICs.
• Contribute features back to the mainline Linux kernel community.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers.
• Analyze and resolve complex networking problems reported by customers and internal test teams.

Requirements

• BSc, MS, or Ph.D. in Computer Science or Electrical/Computer Engineering.
• 3+ years of post-graduate work experience.
• Expert knowledge of C programming.
• Hands-on experience developing and debugging in the Linux kernel.
• Familiarity with Linux kernel architecture and upstream patching processes.
• Understanding of IP networking architecture and CPU architectures (x86/ARM).

Nice to have

• Proficiency in C++ and Python.
• Experience with automated test infrastructure.
