Location: Must be based in Vancouver, BC, Canada (hirify.global Hospital Site)

Salary: $5,365.42 – $7,709.92 CAD Monthly

What you will do

  • Conceptualize, plan, and manage multiple simultaneous events, including conferences, forums, and workshops.
  • Negotiate contracts with venues, caterers, and multimedia service providers.
  • Collaborate with the Communications Coordinator to develop event materials, websites, and advertising.
  • Oversee event budgets, process invoices, and prepare post-event data analysis and reports.
  • Coordinate logistics for speakers, volunteers, and exhibitors, including virtual and in-person requirements.
  • Represent the department on committees and engage with diverse community and healthcare stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Two-year diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality, Tourism, or Event Management.
  • Minimum two years of related professional experience.
  • Ability to work on weekends or outside regular hours as required.
  • Ability to travel to venues across the Lower Mainland.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in business English.

Nice to have

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience managing healthcare-related events and conferences.
  • Experience working with multi-cultural and diverse communities.
  • Access to a vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
