Principal Information Security Engineer

TL;DR

Principal Information Security Engineer (Security Architecture): Define, architect, and support enterprise security tools in partnership with Information Security and IT teams with an accent on Zero Trust strategy and perimeter and endpoint detection and prevention across data center and cloud environments. Focus on designing and implementing security technologies, performing threat modeling and risk assessments, and ensuring seamless integration of vendor solutions into the broader security ecosystem.

What you will do

• Define security requirements for new technology implementations and assess security solutions against those requirements.
• Design and implement selected security technologies and ensure integration into the broader security ecosystem.
• Advance Zero Trust (ZT) strategy and architectural patterns, strengthening perimeter security capabilities.
• Support perimeter and endpoint detection and prevention capabilities across data center and cloud environments.
• Conduct security research and threat modeling, recommend actions to IS/IT teams, and oversee implementation.
• Perform risk assessments to evaluate control effectiveness and the impact of proposed changes to business processes, applications, and systems.

Requirements

• 8+ years of IT work experience relevant to the role, including at least 6 years in hands-on information security engineering or analyst work.
• Experience supporting Cloud, Linux, and Windows systems.
• Solid conceptual understanding of distributed computing principles.
• Working knowledge of application and data security concepts, best practices, and common vulnerabilities.
• Ability to communicate ideas in writing and verbally to management, business, and technical stakeholders.
• Must be able to troubleshoot accessibility issues.

Salary: $96,500–$207,500 USD annual base pay range
