What you will do

• Develop functional and design specifications for packet forwarding engine features and system software.
• Implement software solutions using C, C++, and Python for managing hardware components and ASICs.
• Create and execute automated test plans to validate software quality and reliability.
• Perform hardware bring-up for new systems and collaborate with vendors to validate new ASICs.
• Analyze and resolve complex networking problems in customer environments in collaboration with support engineers.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team specifications and code reviews.

Requirements

• BSc, MS, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
• 3+ years of related post-graduate work experience.
• Proficiency in C or C++ and strong knowledge of UNIX or Linux.
• Understanding of IP networking or distributed systems.
• Strong problem-solving and software troubleshooting skills.
• Must be based in or eligible to work in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
