APC Technician (Broadcast)

What you will do

• Operate control room systems and automation, including switching, audio mixing, and graphics insertion.
• Edit stories and clips to ensure high-quality content that meets production standards.
• Provide direction and timing to talent and technicians during live broadcasts.
• Develop and maintain system documentation for operational and troubleshooting purposes.
• Perform studio-related duties and support handheld camera operations as needed.

Requirements

• Must be willing to work in Philadelphia, PA.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in video production or local news, preferably with Ross Overdrive.
• Strong computer skills with experience monitoring multiple software applications simultaneously.
• Must be willing to join IBEW Local 98.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays with short notice.

Nice to have

• Spanish fluency.
• Knowledge of Caprica automation.
• Experience with Steadicam, DJI Ronin, and mirrorless camera setups.
