Senior Network Reliability Engineer

TL;DR

Senior Network Reliability Engineer (Network Reliability): Design, build, and support Robinhood’s production network and infrastructure systems with an accent on scalable cloud/data center networking, automation, and proactive monitoring. Focus on implementing resilient routing and remote access, improving operational controls, and ensuring high availability and performance while participating in on-call.

Location: Bellevue, WA (in-person attendance expected at least three days per week)

Salary: $138,986 - $195,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, build, and support production network and infrastructure systems to meet project infrastructure needs and improve reliability practices.
• Design and maintain scalable, resilient cloud and data center networking solutions using automation and infrastructure management.
• Implement and refine monitoring and alerting to proactively detect and mitigate issues and maintain high availability and performance.
• Design and maintain secure remote access solutions to protect company data.
• Develop and enhance automation tools and services for network deployments and configuration management.
• Support production network services, connectivity/peering requirements, and continuous improvement through operational controls and on-call rotation.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science (or related) plus 1 year of experience in the offered job or related occupation.
• Experience designing and operating production network infrastructure in data center and cloud environments, including routing and connectivity.
• Hands-on experience with dynamic routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF in on-premises or hybrid environments.
• Experience developing network automation solutions using Python or Golang.
• Experience monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving issues in large-scale production networked/distributed systems.
• Background checks required.
