Director, Project Management (Media): Leading the execution and delivery of a large-scale project portfolio across NBCU News Group with an accent on governance, financial discipline, and contractor management. Focus on synthesizing complex technical projects into executable workstreams and ensuring alignment between technical teams and senior executives.

Location: Hybrid (Minimum 4 days per week in office in New York, NY)

Salary: $155,000 - $185,000

What you will do

• Lead the delivery of a large-scale project portfolio for NBCU News Group, including National News and Telemundo.
• Manage and mentor a team of contracted Project Managers, overseeing their onboarding and performance.
• Own CAPX budgeting, intake, prioritization, and annual strategic roadmaps.
• Collaborate with SVPs and RVPs to align technical projects with business objectives.
• Utilize Jira to track project progress, risks, and dependencies.
• Enforce governance principles including PI Planning and Go/No-Go decisions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience directing Technical Project Teams using Agile and Waterfall.
• Proven track record of managing portfolios with 100+ initiatives.
• Strong financial acumen in budgeting, forecasting, and resource capitalization.
• Experience in executive-level reporting and presentations.
• Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience in the media and entertainment industry.
• Experience within a PMO or PPM organization.
• Proficiency in Power BI, Smartsheet, and MS Project.
• Certifications such as PMP, CAPM, PgMP, CSM, or Prosci.
