Silicon Validation Engineer Junior/Intern (Embedded/Hardware): Supporting the validation of high-performance semiconductor solutions for datacenters and AI with an accent on electrical and functional testing of physical layer platforms. Focus on developing test scripts, performing IC bring-up, and designing validation board components.

Location: Pavia, Italy (Must be enrolled at an accredited Italian university or be a recent graduate)

Salary: 21,250 – 28,750 EUR (annual)

What you will do

• Perform electrical, functional, and feature validation of physical layer device system level platforms.
• Implement test methodologies in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Validate hardware blocks such as PLL, ADC, and DAC.
• Develop Python and C/C++ test scripts for system debug and issue resolution.
• Support IC bring-up, characterization, and production test development.
• Design high-frequency PCB and validation board companion components.

Requirements

• Must be a last-year master's student enrolled at an accredited Italian university or a recent graduate (within 12 months).
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related fields.
• Proficiency in Python and C/C++ with a strong interest in data analysis.
• English proficiency (written and verbal) required.
• Eligibility to access export-controlled information under U.S. laws (EAR) is mandatory.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Analog and Digital design flows.
• Experience with high-bandwidth oscilloscopes and BERTs.
