What you will do

• Develop embedded C firmware for controlling DSP hardware.
• Create C and Python test code for utilities, GUIs, and simulation infrastructure.
• Take features from concept through design, implementation, and testing.
• Debug complex issues and drive root cause analysis with hardware and software teams.
• Optimize firmware sub-routines for multi-core MCU architectures.
• Improve error management flows and system reporting.

Requirements

• Must be a last-year master's student or recent graduate (within 12 months) from an accredited Italian university.
• Strong understanding of micro-controller architecture and processor-memory interaction.
• Proficiency in C and Python.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals (OSI model, PHY, data link).
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Must be eligible to access export-controlled information under U.S. law.

Nice to have

• Experience with ARM or RISC-V architectures.
• Familiarity with Linux, makefiles, gdb, and bash.
• Experience with software development flows (Jira, Gitlab, Jenkins).
• Knowledge of DSP concepts (filters, ADC, DAC, PAM modulation).
