What you will do

• Monitor payroll tax compliance, legislative updates, and regulatory requirements across federal, state, and local levels.
• Perform payroll tax reconciliations and balance wages and tax liabilities by pay group.
• Process and issue Forms W-2c, including prior-period and prior-year adjustments.
• Research and resolve complex payroll tax issues while meeting established service level agreements.
• Assist with federal and state payroll audits and documentation requests.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and maintain standard operating procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 4+ years of payroll tax experience, preferably in a multi-state environment.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
• Experience with payroll reconciliations, tax adjustments, and quarter-end/year-end processes.
• Proficiency in payroll systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
