Focus on embedding resilience standards, managing end-to-end testing cycles, and optimizing risk reporting for senior management.

What you will do

  • Lead risk and control self-assessments (RCSAs) and validate the effectiveness of the control environment.
  • Develop, maintain, and test business impact analyses (BIAs) and recovery plans across the service taxonomy.
  • Manage end-to-end BCP testing cycles, capturing lessons learned to evolve the scenario library.
  • Implement and monitor an integrated risk and resilience policy framework in line with regulatory standards.
  • Draft committee papers and deliver periodic reporting on risk metrics to management and governance forums.
  • Collaborate with first-line operations, compliance, and internal audit to coordinate risk information and incident updates.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree in accounting, finance, law, economics, business or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience in operational risk and/or business continuity management within a financial institution.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and a solid understanding of broader risk frameworks.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and guidelines for risk management in financial services.
  • Must be based in Toronto, Canada for a hybrid work arrangement.

Nice to have

  • Professional qualification in risk or a related discipline.
  • Working knowledge of the Fund administration business.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, and Power Apps for data visualization and dashboards.
  • Experience with SharePoint and Microsoft 365 tools for workflow automation.
