What you will do
- Deliver advanced technical support for Enterprise Server, Enterprise Developer, and Visual COBOL product families.
- Lead troubleshooting sessions and customer calls for production and Severity 1 issues.
- Analyze and resolve complex technical problems, developing reproducible test cases for R&D.
- Act as an escalation point for critical incidents and lead customer escalation meetings.
- Mentor and coach support engineers while contributing to the internal Knowledge Repository.
- Collaborate with Product Development, Sales, and Professional Services to address defects and facilitate service closure.
Requirements
- Solid hands-on experience with programming languages such as COBOL, PL/I, C/C++, and Java.
- Strong working knowledge of relational databases including DB2, SQL Server, MySQL, and Oracle.
- Proficiency with Windows and UNIX/Linux operating systems.
- Experience with mainframe technologies such as CICS, JCL/JES, and IMS.
- Ability to diagnose network connectivity issues and understand system security concepts.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
