What you will do

• Partner with Innovation Solutions, the AI Governance Committee, and product/engineering teams during new product and process development.
• Define best practices for the company’s usage of AI technologies.
• Advise on compliance with intellectual property rights of third parties, AI laws, and privacy and security laws; provide internal training and oversight.
• Research and draft internal processes and policies for intellectual property, AI laws, and privacy/security.
• Draft, review, and negotiate inbound/outbound licensing agreements, strategic partnerships, data protection agreements, and customer agreements in collaboration with regional legal teams.
• Perform legal/technical review of marketing and technical documentation; support legal teams as needed (occasional domestic and international travel may be required).

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States and hold current licensure to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Experience in transactional or litigation legal practice, preferably in intellectual property (patent/copyright/software licensing), AI, and/or privacy and security.
• Experience advising on both US and global intellectual property, privacy, and security laws, regulations, and standards.
• Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong legal and business judgment with demonstrated risk mitigation experience.
