What you will do

• Engage prospective clients to understand data integration challenges, especially migrating from mainframe systems to cloud environments.
• Present and demonstrate software solutions, clearly explaining technical benefits and integration capabilities.
• Deliver proof of concepts that show how offerings support leading database and AI technology trends.
• Convey technical details to non-technical audiences and build credibility with technical stakeholders.
• Qualify business opportunities by gathering user requirements and understanding the customer’s technical environment.
• Support the Sales Engineering team through training and mentoring, and handle objections professionally to progress and close deals.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant sales engineering experience.
• Proven presales or consulting track record with strong mainframe or IBM i (IBMi) foundation.
• Experience with large-scale enterprise data migration projects.
• Strong understanding of data integration for mainframe databases (e.g., IBM Db2, IMS, VSAM) and cloud-native databases (e.g., Amazon RDS, Amazon Aurora, Amazon Redshift).
• Familiarity with security best practices for data handling across cloud and mainframe environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work independently and manage priorities to meet deadlines.

Nice to have

• Experience with data replication technologies such as ETL and CDC.
• Prior experience supporting or migrating workloads from mainframe environments.
