TL;DR

Diesel Maintenance Mechanic (Diesel/Heavy Equipment): Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel and gasoline engine-driven heavy trucks, construction equipment, and complex hydraulic and pneumatic systems with an accent on electrical/hydraulic diagnostics, welding and fabrication, and emergency field repairs. Focus on maintaining equipment reliability through accurate inspections, maintenance records, and service road calls.

Location: USA, NC, Asheboro (on-site at the Asheboro Carl Road location)

Salary: $43,100.00 - $57,400.00 USD (annualized)

What you will do

  • Diagnose, build, rebuild, and repair mechanical and electrical systems on heavy trucks and construction equipment.
  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems.
  • Perform welding and fabrication to repair and build trucks and secondary equipment.
  • Complete equipment maintenance records and order supplies and parts.
  • Handle repairs including emergency repairs in the field and conduct service road calls.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in plant and/or heavy equipment maintenance.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a diesel mechanical role.
  • Valid Driver’s License; CDL Class A preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; or minimum 5 years verifiable maintenance experience.
  • Ability to read precision instruments (micrometers, dial indicators, digital multi-meters) and use electronic diagnostic tools.
