What you will do

• Define telecom compliance requirements to guide architects and engineering teams.
• Enforce data sovereignty by validating routing paths against GDPR, UK IPA, and lawful intercept regulations.
• Validate life-safety routing for e911, Kari’s Law, and Ray Baum’s Act.
• Maintain a traceability matrix mapping regulatory rules to architecture documentation.
• Document regulatory justifications for approvals and compliance gaps to support external audits.
• Act as the subject matter expert bridging legal frameworks and technical delivery teams.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in IT compliance, technical auditing, or information security governance within the telecommunications domain.
• Strong practical knowledge of global telecom regulatory frameworks including FCC, CALEA, GDPR, UK IPA, and STIR/SHAKEN.
• Proven experience conducting manual, checklist-driven technical audits.
• Ability to translate legal and regulatory requirements into clear technical audit criteria.
• Experience collaborating with architecture, legal, and delivery stakeholders.
