Senior Data Scientist (AI)

What you will do

• Drive the evolution of an email threat detection engine protecting large enterprises from sophisticated email-based threats.
• Extract insights from large unstructured email datasets using Spark, Iceberg, Athena, and AWS SageMaker.
• Engineer scalable feature pipelines that capture communication behaviors and patterns across billions of email records.
• Fine-tune LLMs and train neural network and classical machine learning models for threat detection and imbalanced classification.
• Deploy models to production and monitor performance, model drift, and data drift.
• Partner with Product and Engineering, lead research initiatives, mentor junior data scientists, and promote machine learning best practices.

Requirements

• Experience leading high-impact machine learning projects with results in production environments.
• Deep expertise in neural network architectures and their application to real-world problems.
• Proficiency with one or more deep learning frameworks: PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
• Hands-on experience with gradient boosting frameworks such as XGBoost, CatBoost, or LightGBM for imbalanced classification.
• Experience maintaining production model performance, including detecting and mitigating model and data drift.
• Collaborative communication skills and a commitment to innovative, data-driven problem-solving.

Nice to have

• Experience with graph neural networks or advanced fraud detection techniques.
• Experience with PyTorch Geometric or DGL.
• Experience leveraging LLMs and agentic workflows for research and problem-solving.
