Advanced Data Science Consultant (Data Science)

Location: Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, Argentina; hybrid model with three days onsite at clients or hirify.global offices and two days remote

What you will do

• Develop statistically effective algorithms for high-dimensional problems.
• Apply hypothesis testing, machine learning, retrieval, statistical, and data-mining techniques to identify trends and analyze information.
• Collaborate with clients and hirify.global stakeholders to integrate and communicate analytical solutions.
• Assess emerging datasets and technologies for the analytical platform.
• Develop scalable assets and accelerators while supporting research and thought leadership publications.
• Guide and mentor associate team members and contribute to client proposals and team leadership.

Requirements

• PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, or a relevant field, or a master's degree with at least five years of relevant post-collegiate experience.
• Strong academic performance with emphasis on analytical and quantitative coursework.
• Knowledge of big data, advanced analytics, algorithms, text mining, social listening, recommender systems, or predictive modeling.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Java, Python, or R.
• Experience with the Hadoop ecosystem, Amazon Web Services, or database systems.
• Fluency in English and the ability to obtain work authorization for the intended country of employment are required.

• Domain expertise in healthcare, transportation, technology, insurance, or a related field.
• Experience with agile project planning and project management techniques.
• Experience interacting with clients, developing project proposals, and leading teams.
