TL;DR

SoC Hardware Architect (Embedded/Automotive): Developing holistic system-level SoC platform architectures for automotive and edge processing with an accent on hardware/software partitioning and industry-standard compliance. Focus on designing complex SoCs in leading-edge process nodes, optimizing performance, power, and area (PPA) tradeoffs, and ensuring safety and security standards.

Location: Must be based in Austin, TX (Onsite)

What you will do

• Develop holistic system-level SoC platform architectures for specific product classes or scalable technology solutions.
• Deliver detailed architecture specifications including use-case definitions and hardware/software partitioning.
• Collaborate with design and execution teams throughout the product development cycle to ensure successful deployment.
• Define specifications for internal and 3rd-party IP and conduct make vs. buy analysis.
• Identify optimal partitioning of solutions between hardware and software in collaboration with software architects.
• Assess performance, power, and area tradeoffs to balance product requirements.

Requirements

• BS in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline with at least 15 years of relevant experience.
• Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with 10+ years of experience preferred.
• Deep knowledge of ARM architecture specifications.
• Experience in designing or architecting complex SoCs in leading-edge process nodes.
• Exposure to ISO26262-compliant and mixed-criticality architectures.
• Expertise in technical areas such as interconnect, DDR memories, PCIe, USB, networking, or virtualization.
