TL;DR
Technical Business Analyst (Retail): Designing and delivering POS and self-checkout solutions for retail customers with an accent on requirements analysis, software deployment, integration support, and defect diagnosis. Focus on building and troubleshooting retail lab environments, validating releases against requirements, and coordinating developers, QA teams, project managers, and customers through acceptance.
Location: Brussels area, Belgium; onsite with the customer 3 days a week. Work area covers the Benelux region, primarily Belgium.

What you will do
- Deploy, configure, test, integrate, and troubleshoot software releases for POS, self-checkout, and related retail solutions.
- Build and test retail laboratory environments, review JSON configuration files, and perform sanity and integration testing.
- Gather customer requirements, draft epics and user stories with acceptance criteria, and propose solution designs for new features and changes.
- Analyze defects against requirements, track issues, develop testing plans, and support QA teams with functional guidance.
- Lead solution design sessions, customer showcases, workshops, stand-ups, and defect calls while coordinating developers, QA, project managers, and customers.
- Support customer projects on site through deployment and final project acceptance, adapting to changing requirements and product roadmaps.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of relevant market experience in business analysis, customer product ownership, IT, or technical consulting.
- Experience with customer-facing projects, agile delivery, software lifecycles, requirements elicitation, production go-live, and aftercare analysis.
- Hands-on experience deploying, testing, and troubleshooting software and IT systems.
- Ability to manage stakeholders, work independently, communicate across multicultural groups, and support sprint planning.
- Native Flemish and French, plus fluent English required.
- Degree in a business discipline or equivalent experience in an IT-related field.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with Linux operating systems.
- Experience with Jira or other issue management tools.
- Experience working with technology in retail environments or professional services.
