Manager, Income Tracking (Music Publishing)

Location: Minimum 4 days per week in the office in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia

What you will do

• Lead and manage a regional team of two, overseeing onboarding, training, workload management, and OKRs.
• Identify and claim income shortfalls across various territories to maximize royalty payments.
• Liaise with PROs, CMOs, DSPs, and sub-publishers to resolve payment interruptions and discrepancies.
• Collaborate with global Income Tracking teams in EMEA and the US to prevent future collection challenges.
• Analyze and manipulate high-volume datafiles to ensure revenue integrity and alignment with global strategy.
• Provide regular operational progress reports and updates to regional and global leadership.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in income/revenue tracking, including 2-3 years of supervisory/people management experience.
• Strong understanding of Performance Rights Organizations (PRO), international collection societies, and licensing processes.
• Experience managing multiple income streams including digital, live, AV, and radio.
• Full professional proficiency in English.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, including Pivot Tables and advanced formulas for large datasets.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet time-sensitive deadlines.

Nice to have

• Ability to write scripts to automate tasks.
• Proficiency with SQL/Snowflake queries.
• Experience with BI visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
• Familiarity with Power Query and Alteryx.
