Focus on conducting design effectiveness reviews, performing operating effectiveness testing, and partnering with business stakeholders to remediate control deficiencies.

Location: Hybrid role based in Manchester, UK (minimum 50% office attendance required)

What you will do

• Conduct design effectiveness reviews and create/review process maps.
• Perform operating effectiveness testing of controls and document outcomes.
• Work with business stakeholders to resolve control design failures and track remediation plans.
• Support the business with Risk and Control Self Assessments (RCSAs).
• Develop control indicators and measures to assess effectiveness.
• Assist in preparing management information for Executive and Board Committees.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to commute to Manchester, UK.
• Prior hands-on experience in risk, internal control, or audit, ideally within Financial Services.
• Competence in conducting design and operating effectiveness testing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach.
• Ability to produce well-structured written outputs and communicate findings to senior stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage tight reporting deadlines.
