What you will do

• Integrate new i.MX devices into the Linux BSP to ensure high-quality releases.
• Develop, design, and maintain Linux kernel drivers for VPU and multimedia subsystems.
• Maintain existing i.MX products within the Linux software evolution strategy.
• Contribute upstream to the Linux kernel, V4L2, and GStreamer communities.
• Collaborate with an international, cross-functional team of engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of software development experience with embedded systems.
• Proven experience in embedded firmware development.
• Strong proficiency in Linux kernel development.
• Must possess a valid visa and work permit to work in Romania.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with multimedia frameworks like V4L2, GStreamer, or FFmpeg.
• Understanding of video codecs such as H.264 and H.265.
• Experience with ARM-based hardware bring-up and low-level debugging.
• Active participation in open-source communities.
