What you will do

• Partner with the Strategic Sourcing Manager and Supplier Development Engineer on supplier strategy and initiatives.
• Support onboarding a second Virtual Factory for machined components.
• Help identify and onboard new high-volume suppliers to support anticipated growth.
• Review supplier CNC programs, digital work instructions, inspection methods, and tooling specifications for compliance with hirify.global drawings and quality requirements.
• Collaborate with design engineering to ensure manufacturability and cost efficiency.
• Analyze production data, resolve technical supplier concerns, and drive continuous improvement in external manufacturing operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering plus 2 years of relevant experience, or an Associate’s degree plus 6 years, or a high school diploma plus 10 years.
• Strong foundational knowledge of machining, deburring, and inspection techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a collaborative mindset.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 25% (plus additional local travel as needed).

Nice to have, if you have

• Certifications in lean, manufacturing, supply chain, or related areas.
• Familiarity with ERP and MRP systems.
• Knowledge of GD&T, precision machining, and advanced materials.
