Investigator (Fintech)

TL;DR

Investigator (Fintech): Conducting sensitive corporate fact-finding investigations and Enhanced Reliability Screenings within an international banking environment with an accent on fraud detection, data analysis, and regulatory compliance. Focus on managing complex internal investigations, drafting fact-finding reports, and collaborating with Legal and Compliance teams to ensure organizational integrity.

Location: Must be based in Amsterdam, Netherlands (Hybrid working model).

What you will do

• Conduct sensitive internal investigations into potential misconduct, fraud, data leakages, and transgressive behavior.
• Perform Enhanced Reliability Screenings for senior management and sensitive positions.
• Draft comprehensive fact-finding reports for the Resolution Committee to determine legal follow-up.
• Communicate investigation progress and findings to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
• Utilize OSINT and eDiscovery tooling to prepare and execute investigative activities.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, internal/external auditors, and regulatory authorities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in investigations, including investigative methods, interviewing, and data review.
• Proven experience within a global financial institution or law enforcement.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Fraud Management, Law, Accounting, or Economic Crime.
• Proficiency in Dutch and English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
• Basic understanding of eDiscovery tools and methodologies.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight timelines.

Nice to have

• Experience or strong interest in digital investigation tools and Generative AI.
• Background in Undesirable Behavior investigations or Speak-Up processes.
• Proficiency in additional languages.
