What you will do

• Conduct functional safety analyses including FMEA, STPA, and SOTIF for advanced vehicle systems.
• Support system design verification and validation activities to ensure safety compliance.
• Collaborate with software, electrical, and vehicle subsystem teams to integrate safety requirements.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive safety documentation, including requirements and hazard analyses.
• Identify and mitigate potential failure modes in advanced vehicle components.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident (or willing to relocate from Europe).
• Proven experience with functional safety in automotive systems (ISO 26262, ISO 21448).
• Familiarity with ADAS or advanced vehicle subsystems.
• Practical knowledge of FMEA, STPA, or SOTIF methods.
