What you will do

• Design and maintain embedded firmware build infrastructure, including orchestration and toolchains.
• Drive the adoption of industry-standard build automation and configuration management practices.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
• Establish and enforce strong software engineering practices across multiple teams.
• Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and processes to improve engineering efficiency.
• Create and maintain software design specifications and documentation.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available).
• Must be based in the United States.
• Strong proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Go.
• Substantial experience with embedded build systems and toolchains such as GCC, CMake, Kconfig, or Nix.
• 8 years of experience in C programming on embedded devices and real-time operating systems.
• Demonstrated ability to lead work teams and articulate technical assignments.

Nice to have

• Experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Azure.
• Background in medical device software or highly regulated industries.
• Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
• Skilled in utilizing modern AI tools for software development.
