Lead Data Governance Analyst

TL;DR

Lead Data Governance Analyst: Owning and scaling an enterprise data governance program across multiple data domains with an accent on end-to-end governance operating model execution, governance artifacts (glossary, CDEs, metadata, lineage), and decision rights. Focus on driving adoption and effectiveness metrics while serving as the escalation point for governance exceptions and data-related risk issues.

What you will do

• Own day-to-day execution of the data governance operating model across multiple data domains.
• Create and maintain governance artifacts: business glossary and data definitions, CDE identification, metadata, lineage, and usage context.
• Define and maintain data owner and data steward roles, responsibilities, and decision rights.
• Develop policies and procedures that specify requirements and how they will be met.
• Track governance adoption and effectiveness using metrics such as coverage, usage, and issue resolution cycle times.
• Act as an escalation point for governance exceptions and data-related risk issues; execute RFPs.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years of experience in data governance, data management, analytics, data quality, or related disciplines.
• Master’s degree.
• Demonstrated experience operating (not only designing) a data governance program.
• Proven ability to operate in ambiguity and bring structure to evolving environments.
• Cross-functional experience with business, analytics, engineering, and risk/compliance stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Exposure to machine learning.
• Knowledge of DevOps and Git.
• Track record of agentic AI use and implementation.
