What you will do

• Define, develop, and maintain the data governance framework, policies, standards, and procedures.
• Drive best practices in data management, including data contracts, SOPs, retention, and access control.
• Lead and report on data quality initiatives, including metrics, monitoring, profiling, and remediation.
• Improve the Data Catalog and metadata management within the technical department.
• Collaborate with GRC, Information Security, and Corporate IT teams to ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
• Contribute to internal data literacy efforts and stakeholder training opportunities.

Requirements

• Degree in Data Management, Information Assurance, Computer Science, IT, or related fields.
• 5+ years of specialized experience in data governance, data quality, and data management.
• Proficiency with governance frameworks like DAMA-DMBOK and data stewardship models.
• Strong understanding of data architecture, data modeling, metadata management, and data lineage.
• Working knowledge of regulatory and privacy requirements, specifically GDPR and the EU AI Act.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to influence and collaborate across teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with data governance tools such as Collibra, Informatica, Alation, or Talend.
• Familiarity with Ontologies, OWL, and Semantic languages.
• Knowledge of Data Fabric, Data Mesh frameworks, or Graph Databases.
• Experience in highly complex domains like Construction, Consulting, or Health Care.
