What you will do

• Define and implement the Fiber R&D strategy for the Claremont plant.
• Lead the development of innovative and sustainable materials to reduce supply dependency.
• Partner with Cable R&D and manufacturing teams to design new equipment and production capabilities.
• Establish a clear roadmap for fiber developments integrated with market and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct experimental trials and analyze data to improve deposition efficiency and fiber quality.
• Support technology transfer from R&D to industrial scale-up and pilot line activities.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in R&D roles within fiber optics or advanced materials.
• 5+ years of previous managerial or leadership experience in a technical environment.
• Strong knowledge of fiber manufacturing processes and material properties.
• Experience with PCVD or similar deposition technologies is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in experimental design, data analysis, and process optimization.
