TL;DR

Chief Engineer (Navy): Serving as the technical authority for a large-scale Navy program integrating maritime systems, hardware production, and SAFe-aligned software delivery with an accent on architecture, engineering design, and production scalability. Focus on bridging engineering design with shipboard integration realities to accelerate fielding and deliver mission-ready capability.

What you will do

  • Define and own system architecture across hardware, software, data, and network domains.
  • Lead end-to-end technical execution for maritime compute infrastructure and IaaS integration.
  • Drive production scalability by aligning engineering with manufacturing throughput.
  • Coordinate with multi-vendor teams and stakeholders for System of Systems integration.
  • Institute Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) as the authoritative technical baseline.
  • Establish engineering governance, requirements management, and technical assurance standards.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience supporting Department of War, Intelligence Community, or Federal programs.
  • Active Secret clearance required.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Demonstrated expertise with US Navy modernization programs and transition to production.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
  • Strong background in systems engineering, requirements management, and hardware/software integration.

Nice to have

  • Direct experience with US Navy/Coast Guard shipboard shock-isolated compute infrastructure.
  • INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) or ASNE Naval Engineering Certificate.
  • SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) or equivalent certification.
  • Experience on programs valued at $100M or greater.
