EV Data Analysis Lead

Location: Columbia, Maryland, United States. Strong preference for candidates within drivable distance for approximately weekly team meetings. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Target compensation: $125,000–$130,000 per year. Published compensation range: $107,900–$161,900 per year.

What you will do

• Define data analysis requirements with Program Directors and translate project scopes into actionable assignments.
• Develop analytics strategies for proposals and improve transportation data analysis services.
• Oversee data aggregation, validation, quality review, and delivery workflows.
• Interpret and present technical findings to stakeholders.
• Lead, mentor, and supervise senior and junior data analysts.
• Define the vision, strategy, and architecture for data systems and analytics.

Requirements

• Strong expertise in data analysis, data engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with project management and team leadership.
• Proficiency with cloud-based data platforms and modern analytics tools.
• Experience translating complex data into actionable insights.
• Experience developing ETL/ELT pipelines, analytical SQL databases, data quality checks, testing methods, and orchestration workflows.
• Successful hires must pass pre-employment checks and meet applicable DOT requirements when relevant.

Nice to have

• Experience in transportation, energy, or mobility sectors.
• Familiarity with EV infrastructure, connected vehicles, or emerging transportation technologies.
• Consulting or applied research experience.
