What you will do

  • Design and deploy enterprise VMware environments supporting hybrid and cloud migration strategies.
  • Develop and execute migration plans for moving on-premises VMware workloads to AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
  • Manage core VMware components including vSphere, vSAN, and NSX.
  • Collaborate with security and application teams to align migration strategies with business requirements.
  • Troubleshoot complex hybrid environment issues across VMware and cloud platforms.

Requirements

  • Must be based in the United States
  • 5+ years of hands-on cloud engineering experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • 7+ years of overall IT infrastructure or systems experience.
  • Deep expertise in VMware technologies (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, NSX, vSAN).
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, Bicep).
  • Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
  • Working knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, or ISO 27001.

Nice to have

  • Active cloud certifications (AWS Certified, Microsoft Azure Certified, or Google Cloud Professional Engineer).
